Reef Keeping Became My Way of Studying the Ocean
I started keeping saltwater aquariums in seventh grade with a 10-gallon tank and two clownfish. That first aquarium grew into years of coral husbandry, aquaculture, scientific training, and research into the biological and chemical processes that shape marine systems.
Today, I work in coral aquaculture at Pieces of the Ocean while continuing my education and research in marine biology. My interests include coral biology, environmental chemistry, molecular ecology, eDNA, microbiomes, and the use of controlled aquarium systems to ask meaningful scientific questions.
I created Reef Cloverson to bring those parts of my life together through:

- Long-term coral and environmental records
- Research journals and experimental projects
- Marine-science education
- Apparel and designs that support the work
