eDNA & Microbiomes

This research lane follows my development of molecular methods for studying reef organisms and their associated biological communities. I’m currently building experience with reef-water and organism-based sampling, DNA extraction, PCR, and preparation for downstream sequencing and community analysis. The goal is to learn what biological signals can be recovered from reef systems and how eDNA and microbiome methods can complement what we observe in the aquarium.
